Legendary Slovenian climber would today, if he had stayed alive, celebrated the 70 birthday. With him and pkojnim Ang I Phuom 15th May the world has reached the highest peak Mount Everest. On this day, Šrauf with, too late Tomaž Humar, stood on top of the 6986 m. Ganesh Himal.

Šrauf has died 1995. in avalanche on Mount Mala Mojstrovka in Slovenia.
